Pastoral Care
If you go to the hospital or a care facility, under the law, hospitals and health care providers must obtain patients’ consent to share information about them. No longer are pastors automatically informed about a member being in the hospital. If you go to the hospital and you want our pastor to visit or you want our church family to be informed, you must state your preference during the intake process, when you fill out forms or are asked questions such as these. A surer way to inform us is for you or a relative to call on your behalf. One of the church's and the pastor's primary ministries is pastoral care. That's why we like to know if one of our members is scheduled for surgery or in the hospital for some reason. This allows the pastor to visit and the members to pray for you.

Welcome to the website of the Presbyterian
Church of Palatine, IL. (PCOP)
We are a church seeking transformation, a
church that is soon to be seeking new pastoral
leadership. As the Interim Pastor my role is to
guide PCOP through this time of transition as
the church prepares “to call” a permanent
pastor.
These up coming months will be a time for self-
study, reflection, and setting goals and
priorities for the living out of our faith in Jesus
Christ. We are seeking to be God’s church, in
Greek, ecclesia, literally “the called out ones.”
We are asking ourselves what it means to be
“the called out ones” in this time of change
and transition. Our vision statement calls us
as God’s people to:
• Celebrate God;
• Grow in Christ; and
• Extend the spirit.
Again welcome and while you are here check
out our ever expanding website.
But most of all I invite you to visit us in person
at this exciting time in the life of PCOP.
Please join us for worship this coming Sunday
at 10:00 AM. We look forward to meeting and
greeting you!
May the Peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be
with you.
The Rev. Dr. Don Dempsey, Interim Pastor
